My Greatest Love

He looked at me,
He had eyes that were deep.

He spoke to me,
He spoke to me roughly,
But he was sweet.

He told me of music,
He told me of art,
He told me of history,
He told me of love.

We spoke of drama,
The drama that made our lives,
What they are today.

I watched him at his best,
I watched him at his worst,
He helped me at my worst,
He praised me at my best.

Together we braved the world,
To what it is today.

Together we shared thoughts,
Together we laughed.

Slowly I fell in love with him,
Slowly I let my heart take control,
Slowly I was his.

I spoke of my love,
And I was scared of it,
But we were young,
And I was foolish.

I let years pass.

I thought of him.

I forgot him.

I thought of him.

I forgot him.

He was with me,
All throughout everything.

I fell for another.

I thought of him.

I forgot him.

I left the other.

I thought of him.

I forgot him.

I spoke to him,
And our lives entwined again.

I cried to him,
I drank with him.

This time,
He held my hand.

This time,
He kissed me.

This time,
He loved me.

And I held his hand,
And he held my hand.

And I remembered the him,
The him I met years ago.

The him I am with now.

I never should have let me let him go.

Short as it was,
He was my everything again.

And as our hearts touched,
In an explosion of warm love,
What was once occupied there,
Was not there no more.

Alas,
Our time together was short lived.

Life had to go on,
And life took me away from him.

Though we are away from each other,
I think of him each and every day,
I dream of him every day.

I will remember him,
Every day,
And forever,

He is forevermore,

My one

True,

Great,

Love.

My love I will remember you.

You!

What do you do?
When the hand you are holding on to tightly,
The hand which promised OK,
The hand which assured you,
Goes cold and limp
And fails to hold you no longer.

What do you do?
When the shoulder you cried on,
The rock you leaned on,
The courage you received from it,
Fell down in the blink of an eye.

What will you do?
When all else fails,
And hope seems to have gone away,
Like the candle flame,
Wiped out with one small breath,
A whisper if may.

What do you do?
When you are held at gunpoint,
And you are fighting for your life,
Yet thinking of those you loved,
And those you failed to love.

Here's what you must do.

When the hand you once held,
No longer holds you.
You be your own hand.
You hold someone.
You tell them
Its going to be okey.

When the shoulder you cried on falls,
You be the shoulder!
You now have the courage!
You be the rock to those around you.
Because you can.

When all else fails,
Look to the Globe at Battery Park,
It stands as a sign of hope for a nation,
And for the world.

It shows you something,

You,
You are as indestructible as indestructible can be.

Listen to your heart,
Take that leap of faith.

For what you have prepared for,
Is close at hand.

You will lose everything,
Yet you will not lose anything,

You will point the gun,
And a gun be pointed at you,

But its okey.

In the end,

You are you.

You are hope,
You are life,
You pull the trigger.

You control the world.

It

Is

You.
