As my heart lay in ruins,
I thought of other things,
I thought of ways to cover up the hurt,
The pain.

Yet all I thought of was you,
And all you thought of was me,
How our little time was spent undivided,
Attention spans so narrow.

I refused tears,
I refused others,
I accepted it as it came,
And I dealt with it in my own way.

I miss the sweet smile,
I miss the cheeky grin,
I miss the warmth of your body,
The secure feeling of my arm in your arm,

Yet I cannot hope for these anymore..

Yet I know we must be apart,

Our love is simple,

Its watching a movie,
Its a lunch date for two.

Its riding shotgun with the windows down,

It plays in my playlist,
Day and night,
To remind me that I love you,
And I pray to God,

Put on Some Love

Sipping my cup of coffee,
I look around for the unexpected,
I look for a smile,
For a loud burst of laughter.

I see what I want to see.

Then I see more,
I see them holding hands,
I see a kiss on the forehead,
A small peck on the cheek.

I smile,
I feel joy in my heart,
All because I see love.

I see people wearing Love on their backs,
Not bothered what other people say.

Because Love is their Gucci,
Because Love is their precious.

They accessorize their love with that smile,
And they look good wearing love.

My coffee is now done,
I get up and hold your hand,
I am wearing love,
I put it on with a smile daily,
We look good in love.

We'll walk these streets wearing it,
We'll write in love,
We'll design with love,
We can do many things with this love,
Because its endless,
And I love you.

We Looked

One day,
We will stand together from a greater height,
Look at the sunset,
Then look down.

Down there,
We see trials,
Tribulations,
Sadness,
Troubles,
Deceit,
Pain,
Suffering,
Traitors,
Betrayal,
Lies.

Then we look onto the sunset,
We turn our eyes,
To see beyond what we can see,
We look over the horizon.

We see joy,
Happiness,
Prosperity,
Success,
Wealth,
Peace,
Hope,
Joy,

And most importantly,
We see Love.

We see the future,
We look bravely to it,
We know this is what we want,
This is what we can do,
We know we can succeed.

Confidence reigns,
Courage takes control,
Patience puts us at ease,
We are better people.

We continue to stare at the sky,
The stars appear,
They rule the skies,
They tell a story,
I only hope that one day they tell our story,
So that the young look on,
And can hope for a better future.

We see the moon,
Full and bright,
Shining as a beacon of hope in the darkness,
It reminds us that we were moons for each other,
The shining hope amidst all the horrid black.

We lie there,
In greater heights,
Feeling the cool night air,
Words of strength and encouragement exchanged,
Words of love and patience.

We sleep as the stars watch over us.

When we wake,
The mighty sun greets us,
A hope of the morrow arises,
We fear no longer,
But again,
We look to the future,
We look to the day ahead,
We look at each other,
I hold your hand as you hold mine.

We step down from greater heights,
Sink into the world,
The hustle and bustle of the market,
The sights and sounds of the world awaken us,
We are alert.

We can do this,
Because we have been doing this,
Its nothing new,
We move on,
We don't look back,
We are what we are.

Reality of Love

What did you see?

Will it ever make sense.

You made sense of it.

For the first time,
I was able to feel reality in Love,

There is reality to what we have,
